Managed FinOps
Continuous cloud cost management as a service, and the heart of what Cloudreason does. We monitor your estate, keep reservations and commitments current, review every month and track every action to completion, so spend never drifts back to waste.
Architecture-led cost reduction, commitment strategy, team enablement and independent advisory are all inside the retainer, applied as your estate needs them. Every Cloudreason client is a retained client.
Proof, not promises
An average 25% reduction in annual cloud spend
Millions of pounds saved across client estates
90% and 75% reductions delivered through re-architecture
0% of our revenue from vendor commission
The three days
Day one
Where the money goes: spend mapped to the teams and workloads driving it.
Day two
What it should cost: commitments, sizing, storage and architectural red flags.
Day three
What to do about it: a prioritised plan, sized in pounds, briefed in person.
Cloud Cost Health Check
The way in. Three days, fixed scope, one fixed price agreed in writing before we start. An independent review that tells you where the money goes, what your estate should cost, and exactly what to do about the difference.
The findings are yours to keep and act on, with your own team or with ours. Almost every Managed FinOps engagement began with one.
About the Cloud Cost Health Check →Cloud Compliance
Compliance is assessed continuously but managed annually, and estates drift the moment the auditor leaves. We run compliance the way we run FinOps: continuous monitoring against your frameworks, remediation by our own engineers, and evidence collected as you go.
ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, the NCSC Cloud Security Principles, PCI DSS, SOC 2 and the NHS DSPT. If you hold a renewal, audit or procurement date, everything is worked back from that date.
How it runs
Monitor
Continuous checks against the frameworks you certify to.
Fix
Findings remediated by our engineers, not filed as recommendations.
Evidence
Audit evidence collected as you go, ready before the assessor asks.
Inside every retainer
These are not separate products. They are the capabilities inside every Managed FinOps engagement, applied when your estate needs them.
Architecture-led cost reduction
Re-architecting estates to cost less structurally. Our two biggest percentage wins, 90% and 75%, came from here.
Commitment & reservation strategy
Independent advice on Reserved Instances, Savings Plans and EA renewals, planned against your renewal dates.
Team enablement
Training finance and engineering to run FinOps themselves. The reason our longest engagements keep renewing.
Independent cloud advisory
Spend decisions, build-versus-buy and migration business cases, from advisers with no stake in the answer.
Frequently asked questions
Which Cloudreason service should we start with?
For cloud cost, start with the Cloud Cost Health Check: three days, fixed scope, fixed price, and a prioritised plan you can act on with or without us. If your pressing issue is a certification, audit or customer security questionnaire, start with the Cloud Compliance Health Check instead. Most Managed FinOps and Cloud Compliance engagements begin from one of the two.
Do you resell cloud services or take vendor commissions?
No. Cloudreason takes no commission, referral fee or reseller margin from AWS, Microsoft, Google or any other vendor. One hundred per cent of our revenue comes from client fees, and we encourage every client to hold their vendor relationships directly, in their own name.
Which cloud platforms do you work across?
AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, including multi-cloud estates, plus Kubernetes wherever it runs. Our longest engagements span several generations of each platform's pricing and services.
What size of organisation do you work with?
From small single-account AWS estates to multi-cloud public sector environments where we have saved £2.3 million over four years. The discipline is the same at every scale; only the numbers change.
